Wulfenite (Sandwich) – Erupción Mine, Los Lamentos Mts (Sierra de Los Lamentos), Ahumada Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico
Former collection of Dr. Walter Kühnel, acquired in 1971
Undamaged top level!
A very aesthetic specimen of numerous wulfenites with edges up to 11 mm long, from an old find from the 1970s. The crystals are undamaged, with a particularly intense dark orange color and excellent luster. The dark zone within the wulfenites is characteristic of these collection specimens. This special crystal formation is also known as "sandwich zoning" and is particularly intense in this case.
A great collectible from the Erupción Mine in the Sierra de los Lamentos in Mexico.
