Uvarovite - Outokumpu, Finland
Former Renato and Adriana Pagano Collection
Wonderful green garnet from Finland!
The world's most beautiful and largest specimens of uvarovite, a chromium-rich member of the garnet family, come from the Outokumpu deposits in Finland. These specimens were collected in the 1800s and early 1900s. Two highly lustrous emerald-green dodecahedrons with beveled faces are aesthetically arranged one above the other on the sculptural matrix.
Particularly rare collector's item from Europe.
