Tourmaline on Quartz - Paprok, Afghanistan
 
A 2.7 cm long tourmaline with pink, water-clear and blue zones on lustrous quartz crystals with some greyish inclusions. The interplay of the two minerals results in a highly aesthetic specimen. The tourmaline can be easily detached from the quartz and reinserted.
