All around crystallized Rubellite floater crystal of particularly intense color and unique luster. Both the aesthetics and the size of this crystal are stunning. The double-terminated crystal is unharmed and has very good translucence for its considerable size.  Pieces like this are extremely rare to find on the market.  The best pieces of this unique find are in the most important collections of the world, such as the Harvard Mineralogical Museum, the New York Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian or the Natural History Museum in London.
Tourmalines from the Jonas Mine are famous worldwide and easily recognized by their unique raspberry red coloration. An extremely rare and high quality specimen from this mineralogically important find.
 
Ailton Barbosa made this unique Rubelite find at the Jonas Mine in 1978. From his famous "Bamboo Pocket" also comes one of the world's most famous crystals "The Rocket" with a weight of 125 kg and over a meter in length, which was sold at that time for over 9 million dollars.
