Tourmalines from the Jonas Mine are famous all over the world and can be easily recognized by their unique coloring. This cluster of several tourmalines, some of which are up to 2 cm thick, has this intense raspberry-red color. The crystals are partly etched but mostly undamaged.
Ailton Barbosa made this one-off ruble discovery in 1978 in the Jonas Mine (Conselheiro Pena). An aesthetic and high-quality specimen from this find that is world-famous and coveted by collectors.
