Tourmaline, Quartz – Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, San Diego, California, USA
 An impressive 13 cm tourmaline with an aesthetically pleasing quartz double-terminated gemstone. The green tourmaline has an intense pink, tower-like structure at the end. Smaller pink tourmalines are also attached to the sides. The colors create a beautiful contrast.
 Presumably due to tectonic influences, the tourmaline crystal was disturbed in the lower quarter during its growth phase. This disruption results in an interesting bend that makes this magnificent display piece unique.
