Tourmaline on Quartz - Mawi Pegmatit, Nuristan, Afghanistan
 
 2.7 cm long intense blue tourmaline (indigolite) in a rehealed quartz crystal. The tourmaline appears much weaker in warm light than under cold light. On the back there are more tourmalines that have grown into the quartz  .
