Tanzanite Double Terminated - Arusha, Merelani Mountains, Tanzania
 
 This 2.1cm x 0.7 cm double terminated Tanzanite crystal shows all the characteristics of this rare Zoisite variety. Double terminated tanzanites are extremely rare and therefore hard to find on the market. The crystal has an impeccable transparency and apart from a few stress cracks it is of best gemstone quality. The characteristic trichroism, which moves in the play of colors between blue and purple, is very well pronounced in this untreated piece.
