This 2.1 cm Tanzanite crystal shows all characteristics of this rare Zoisite variety at its best.  Flawless with only a minimal negative imprint and even some matrix, the multi-faceted crystal form shows up in good luster. The crystal has flawless transparency and apart from a few stress cracks is of the best gem quality. The characteristic trichroism, which moves in the color play between blue and violet, is very well pronounced in this untreated piece.
