Tanzanite – Arusha, Merelani Mountains, Tanzania
 This 2.3 cm x 1.4 cm x 0.8 cm tanzanite crystal exhibits all the characteristics of this rare zoisite variety. The wide crystal has flawless transparency and, apart from a few stress cracks, is of the highest gem quality. The characteristic trichroism, which ranges in color from blue to violet, is well developed in this untreated piece.
