Scepter quartz - Grieswies, Rauris, Austria
 
 Wonderful floater piece consisting of several scepter quartz from Grieswies in the Rauriser Valley near Salzburg in Austria. The tips are clear and have a very good luster. Some of the crystals are window quartz. A quartz specimen where there is something new to discover from every angle.
 The Rauris is known for its diverse quartz finds. Almost all deposits are in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park. For some years now, collecting minerals has only been possible here with a special permit. Because of this, minerals from the Rauris are rarely offered. The quartz specimen comes from the collection of Josef Kolb, who has been searching for minerals there regularly since the 1970s.
