Kunzite with a clear crystal shape and typical pink color. The clarity and brilliance of this crystal are particularly noteworthy.
As with most kunzite crystals, this piece has interesting etched faces and is a light pink with the trichroic properties, ie a different color when viewed along each of its three axes. This good quality piece with intense color comes from the Pala Mining District. There this mineral was also discovered and named in 1903 by the mineralogist of the company Tiffany Co. George Frederick Kunz .
