Sphalerite, Calcite – Cumberland Mine, Carthage, Smith Co. Tennessee, USA
 Adjacent to the well-known Elmwood Mine lies the Cumberland Mine, where some of the finest sphalerite has been found. This richly decorated cabinet specimen contains numerous sharp-edged, highly lustrous sphalerite crystals. The sphalerite crystals, up to 3 cm in diameter, exhibit a wonderful red color in transmitted light.
