Spangolite with Baryte – Mex-Tex Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, USA
 
Sharp and sparkling emerald green Spangolite crystals to 1 mm, with tabular Baryte in a protected crevasse of vuggy Quartz matrix, with minor Malachite and Brochantite. The rare copper/aluminium-sulphate Spangolite is regarded as a coveted „signature species“ for the Bingham mining district (cf. LAPIS-Steckbrief 7-8/2019). Typical specimen from a classic dump recovery (1991), with an excellent and very showy Quartz/Spangolite vugh!
