Historic Monheimite specimen with super luster from Altenberg near Aachen!

The mineral monheimite was named after the German chemist Johann Peter Joseph Monheim (1786 to 1855), who was the first to identify the mineral.
The name Monheimite is due to the mineralogist Gustav Adolf Kenngott (1818 to 1897), who first used the term Monheimite in 1853.
