Smithsonite after calcite – San Giovanni Mine, Sardinia, Italy

 Yellowish smithsonite as an enveloping pseudomorph after calcite. The calcite crystals are completely dissolved, but are still clearly recognizable in the form of the smithsonite.
 Pieces of such quality, with such a good shine and intense color, are extremely rare on the market.
 A rare and aesthetically pleasing collector's item of unique quality from this find in Sardinia.
