Smithsonite on Limonite – Hilarion Mine, Kamariza Mines, Agios Konstantinos, Lavrion, Lavreotiki, Attica, Greece

 The silvery, spherical smithsonite crystals contrasted sharply with the dark, layered limonite matrix. The largest crystal has a diameter of 2 cm. The surface of the smithsonite consists of tiny crystal faces, giving it a silky appearance. The specimen is richly covered with smithsonite on both sides.
