Skeletonized quartz – "Splittersandkluft", Lago San Giacomo, Cavagnoli, Ticino, Switzerland

 Remarkably large and flawless quartz from the so-called "Splittersandkluft" at Lago San Giocomo. The water-clear crystal was found in September 2022.
 What is particularly noteworthy is the beautiful symmetry between the mirror-smooth surfaces and the remaining prism surfaces which are decorated with disk-shaped, skeletonized negative forms of siderite.
