Serandite – Mount St. Hilaire, Quebec, Canada

 Here we see a very well-crystallized, exemplary, double-terminated, salmon-orange serandite crystal from Mont Saint-Hilaire in Canada. This sharp, block-like serandite is partially translucent and exhibits a beautiful luster along several faces; the other crystal faces show a velvety luster.
 This crystal probably dates from the late 1980s, and beautiful specimens like this one are now a thing of the past and are hard to find on the mineral market – especially at a reasonable price, as with this specimen.
