Rutile as sagenite pseudomorphs after ilmenite
Arzo ridge, Robiei, Val Bavona, Ticino, Switzerland
 
yellow to bronze-colored rutile as a lattice-shaped “sagenite” on milk-white albite (in the periclinic habit), with dark green clinochlor and silvery muscovite flakes on graphitic mica schist. This rutile displaced a large former ilmenite in the basal zone of the large disthene quartz/clinochlore fracture No.201 on the Arzo Ridge. It delivered particularly attractive sagenite specimens in August and September 2022
