Up to 5 cm long, intensely colored rubies in and on bedrock. A collection piece that is both aesthetically and mineralogically interesting. The specimens shows well how the rubies grow in the pegmatite. 
The strongly fluorescent (long wave) rubies stand out against the yellowish matrix. 
Imposing showcase cluster from Africa. 
 
Rare historic matrix specimen from the 1970s with beautiful crystals in good color.
