Pink Fluorite – Planggenstock, Göscheneralp, Uri, Switzerland
This undamaged, sharp-edged and wonderfully contrasting fluorite of the highest quality was found in the steep walls of the Göscheneralp in what is probably the most famous fissure system in the Alps.
The particularly transparent and color-intensive fluorite has partial green chlorite inclusions.
These inclusions form a beautiful contrast to the pink of the fluorite. Upon closer inspection, they also reveal phantoms in various shades of green.
The fluorite, which has crystallized all around, has "cuts" at the base which originate from already dissolved, fine-leafed calcite crystals.
A wonderful and interesting collector's item from every angle.
Alpine classic in best quality and color.
