Rhodochrosite – Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon, Lima, Peru

 Many intergrown red scalenohedrons of rhodochrosite in wonderful contrast to the black matrix. Rhodochrosite crystals from Peru are rarely recovered now, which is why such specimens have become a particularly sought-after collector's mineral.
