Rhodochrosite with Quartz - Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon, Lima, Peru
 
Exceptional rhodochrosite specimen from the famous Uchucchacua mine in Peru, which produced some of the most beautiful rhodochrosite specimens . It features transparent Rhodochrosite crystals up to 12 mm with an intense cherry red color and gem quality.
The crystals  have an excellent luster. The rhodochrosite crystals are partly solitary  and stand out in contrast to the black manganese matrix.
