Rhodochrosite on quartz – Baia Sprie (Felsöbánya), Maramures, Romania
 Particularly high-luster, intensely pink rhodochrosite on quartz. The numerous spherical rhodochrosite florets sit wonderfully aesthetically on a lawn of quartz crystals. This beautiful collection specimen is reminiscent of a mountain range with white peaks covered in pink clouds of rhodochrosite on their peaks and flanks. The quartz crystals presumably encase calcite crystals, which contributes to this unique aesthetic.
