Smoky quartz – Göschener Alp, Uri, Switzerland

 The Göschener Alp in the Swiss canton of Uri is known for breathtaking quartz and fluorite finds. This sharp-edged smoky quartz with perfect clarity is no exception. Thanks to two smaller crystals growing from the sides, it presents itself beautifully in any display case.
 Under adventurous conditions, the crystals are recovered by the prospectors at an altitude of approximately 3,000 meters.
