Smoky quartz, thread quartz, Adular – Maderanertal, Uri, Switzerland
 Highly lustrous smoky quartz and adularius comprise this wonderful floating cabinet specimen from the Maderaner Valley in the Swiss canton of Uri. The quartz on this slab has grown in a variety of shapes, including classic crystal forms, double-terminated crystals, threadlike quartz, and a crystal with a slight twist (a "Gwindel"). Snow-white adularius crystals contrast with the ultra-transparent and lustrous smoky quartz.
