Smoky quartz – Bächenstock south face, Uri, Switzerland

 Smoky quartz specimen with minor hematite from the Bächenstock in the Swiss canton of Uri. The crystal  was recovered in the summer of 1993 by Frank Woldert from the sout face. The piece shows the smoky color characteristic of Switzerland and the quality that makes Alpine pieces from this region so desirable to collectors around the world.
