Smoky quartz (Morion) in normal habit - 
Oberblatthorn, Blausee, Binntal, Valais, Switzerland
 
Good water-clear crystal, on the rear with healed growth accretions and Muscovite portions; intense reddish-brown colour, gem cutting quality! The locality "Blausee" yielded the best Morion crystals of western Switzerland during the 1990s (cf. LAPIS 2/2003). Found in August 1997, ex Stefan Weiß collection
