 This highly aesthetic Herkimer diamond specimen is a perfect museum piece. The sharp-edged, highly lustrous, and transparent quartz crystals rightfully deserve the nickname "diamond." This specimen consists of several individual crystals, some with smoky zoning and intergrown fenestrations.
 A positive aspect is that this piece has only been fixed in one place. The top crystal has detached over millions of years and has been fixed in its original position. Normally, specimens of this type are reassembled from many individual pieces.
 Depending on the viewing angle, beautiful rainbows can be seen inside the top crystal.
