Prasem Quartz - Serifos, Greece
 
Prasem with rare crystal shape from the world famous deposit on Serifos. The piece has the characteristic leek green coloring which gives its name to this variety of quartz (derived from the Greek, prason = leek). There has been a strict ban on collecting minerals on Serifos for several years. A beautiful piece of a European classic.
