Prase Quartz - Serifos, Greece
 
 Aesthetic specimen from the famous deposit on Serifos in good quality with beautiful luster. The piece has the characteristic leek green color, which gave this quartz variation its name (derived from the Greek, prason = leek). Towards the tips, the crystals turn yellow and translucent. Thanks to the special clarity, individual actinolite threads are easily recognizable in the quartz.
 For several years there has been a strict ban on collecting minerals on Serifos.
 A nice European classic.
