Prasem Quartz – Serifos, Greece

 An aesthetically pleasing prase specimen with the characteristic artichoke-like crystals from the world-famous deposit on Serifos. Smaller hematite roses are attached laterally to the crystals.
 The piece has the characteristic leek-green color that gives this variety of quartz its name (derived from the Greek word "prason," meaning leek). A strict ban on mineral collecting has been in place on Serifos for several years. A beautiful specimen of a European classic.
