Phenakite on quartz - Kleine Spitzkoppe, Damaraland, Namibia

 A mineralogically particularly interesting and at the same time aesthetic piece from the small Spitzkoppe in Namibia. The 8 mm large, undamaged phenakite stands out strongly from the oxidized iron-containing coating of the quartz. The quartz is terminated as a flat floater with several tips and is an interesting structure in itself. Historical find from the early 1980s
