Martite (hematite after magnetite) - Payun Volcano, Mendoza, Argentina

 Heavily skeletal hematite after magnetite. This variety, known as martite, originates from a 2008 find at the Payun volcano in Argentina. The fully crystallized crystal is highly lustrous and partially covered with a thin layer of highly lustrous hematite crystals. A magnificent collector's item!
