Hematite after magnetite. This variety, known as martite, comes from a discovery in 2008 at the Payun volcano in Argentina. The crystal, which has crystallized all around, is very shiny and is partially covered with a thin layer of highly lustrous hematite crystals. A wonderfully aesthetic collector's item.
