Malachite after Cuprite – Onganja, Seis, Windhoek, Namibia
 
Velvety, ustrous malachite crystals almost completely grown over a cuprite crystal. Only a little of the cuprite still shows through on the base of this uninjured floater piece. Unfortunately, these pseudomorphs from malachite after cuprite are rarely offered because most crystals are acidified in order to be able to sell the "more valuable" cuprite.
