Hematite with quartz – Florence Mine, Egremont, Copeland, Cumbria, UK

 Deep black, highly lustrous hematite flakes with short prismatic double-terminated quartz crystals on a hematite matrix. The matrix is a so-called kidney ore. Iron mineralization occurs here through the replacement of limestone.

 A very nice collector's item of this classic from England.
