Hematite with quartz – Florence Mine, Egremont, West Cumberland Iron Field, Cumbria, UK
 Deep black, highly lustrous hematite flakes with short-prismatic double-terminated quartz on a hematite matrix. The matrix is a so-called kidney ore. Iron mineralization here occurs through the replacement of limestone.
 One side of this richly decorated hand specimen is completely covered with hematite flakes, while the other side is dominated by quartz crystals.
 Very nice collector's item of this classic from England.
