Gwindel, smoky quartz – Madaranertal, Uri, Switzerland

Gwindel with the sought-after, particularly intense "Coca Cola" color, which is characterized by a reddish, smoky brown. The surface of this perfectly transparent Gwindel is high-gloss. The triangular surfaces are minimally matt, which gives the piece a wonderful plasticity. A thoroughly perfect quartz!!!
The Gwindel has a particularly pronounced twist (winding), which is what gives this rare quartz variety its name. With a width of 10.5 cm and a height of 7 cm, this is a fairly large Gwindel. The quality is particularly noteworthy for its size.
The crystals are recovered by the prospectors under the most difficult conditions at an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
