Greenkop Beryl (Polychrome Beryl), Schorl, Fluorite – Erongo, Namibia
A wonderful paragenesis of rare green beryl with tourmaline var. Schorl and fluorescent fluorite.
In 2007 three large druses with unique beryls were found in the Namibian Erongo - Massiv. The finds showed the typical assemblage of schorl, fluorite and beryl for Namibia. The polychrome beryls are mostly translucent colorless white, the upper sixth, the cap is green to blue-green and of good transparent quality. Because of this color distribution in the crystal, they are called Greenkop.
A rare and highly aesthetic specimen item from Namibia.
