 The gold from Mt. Kare in Papua New Guinea is unmistakable. The gold rush that lasted there from 1988 to 1994 was a modern phenomenon. Not all of the gold found there was crystallized and most of the gold was melted. The rare pieces that have not been melted are highly valued by collectors.
