The gold from Mt. Kare in Papua New Guinea is unmistakable. The gold rush that lasted there from 1988 to 1994 was a phenomenon of modern times. Not all the gold found there was crystallised and most of the gold was melted. The rare pieces that were not melted are highly prized by collectors.
