Richly decorated specimen of the extremely rare mineral friedrichite, which belongs to the sulfides and sulfur salts! This collector's piece shows both embedded, columnar crystals and granular aggregates.

Named in honor of Professor Dr.-Ing. Othmar Michael Friedrich (18 December 1902 - 12 May 1991), Montanuniversität, Leoben, Styria, Austria. Friedrich devoted his research almost exclusively to the ore deposits of the Eastern Alps.

 Extremely rare collector's item in good size and quality from the collection of Dr. Günter Grundmann.
