 Lustrous black, magnetic franklinite octahedra with an impressive 2.7 cm edge length in a white calcite matrix. Franklin is the type locality and the world's richest source of this zinc spinel. The manganese-rich calcite matrix exhibits fiery red fluorescence in short-wave UV light. Neon green willemite is also visible under UV light.
 There have been no discoveries since the 1970s!
