Fluorite – Samuelspat, Halsbrücke Mine, Freiberg, Saxony, Germany
In this update, we can offer three extremely good, newly acquired specimens of Samuel spar from the Halsbrücke mine near Freiberg in Saxony.
This one is the largest of the three: a hand specimen with the sought-after fluorite in the desirable blue color. The piece, exactly 10 cm wide, consists of a compact layer of light blue fluorite at the bottom, topped with freely crystallized, darker blue fluorite crystals up to 2.6 cm in edge length. A thin layer of quartz lies between them.
Great specimen for fluorite collectors!
