Fluorite, Quartz – Trepas, Tarn, France
 
Sharp-edged, highly lustrous fluorite with numerous clearly defined phantoms and short-prismatic double-terminated quartzes. French Fluorites are known worldwide for these distinct phantoms and are highly sought after. The transparent crystal shows this high-contrast interplay of blue and yellow zoning in an impressive way. Also typical of these crystals are the rarely occurring rounded surfaces at the corners, in which the rectangular edges flatten towards the corner.
