Fluorite (QR Code) – Qinglong Mine, Dachang, Qianxinan, Guizhou, China
One of the now extremely rare QR Code fluorites from a discovery at the beginning of this millennium.
Fluorite, whose growth has led to skeletal, tiled cube surfaces.
The unique design lies in an irregular, staggered arrangement of cube-shaped individual pieces. A corresponding tiling creates an overall appearance reminiscent of a so-called QR code.
This parquetted surface structure of the fluorites resembles the square-coded source code used for product identification, and therefore these crystals were called "QR-code fluorite."
Beautiful hand specimen of a QR Code Fluorite, which is now very rare and offered at top prices on the market.
