Fluorite (QR Code) – Qinglong Mine, Dachang, Qianxinan, Guizhou, China
One of the now extremely rare QR Code fluorites from a find at the beginning of this millennium.
Fluorite, whose growth has led to skeletal tiled cube surfaces, on crystalline quartz.
The special feature of the design lies in an irregular, offset arrangement of cube-shaped individual parts. The corresponding parquetry leads to an overall image of individual surfaces that are reminiscent of the so-called QR code.
This parqueted surface structure of the fluorites resembles the square coded source code for product identification and therefore these crystals were called "QR-code fluorite".
The orange-yellowish quartz provides a wonderful stage for the colorful fluorites.
Beautiful small specimen of a QR Code Fluorite, which is now very rare and offered at top prices on the market.
