Fluorite – La Collada, Siero, Asturias, Spain
Former Fritz Haller Collection, 1969
This historic fluorite from the famous La Collada mine in Spain impresses with its admirable size, exceptional quality, and intense colors. This aesthetic specimen is crystallized or recrystallized throughout and consists of multiple crystals with edge lengths of up to 10 cm! All fluorites have a sky-blue core that fades into a light violet. The beveled edges are intense violet. When illuminated from the front, the violet tones are prominent. Even with slight transmitted light, the phantom appears a brilliant blue.
The edges are parqueted and thus form a beautiful contrast to the mirror-smooth surfaces.
Due to the harmonious play of colors and the contrasting surface structures, this fluorite presents itself in the best museum quality!
This impressive display cabinet comes with a collection label from 1969 and a milled base.
